Sefton Coast South Family of Parishes
St Joseph’s church has an excellent traditional SATB choir, friendly and welcoming to new members. We lead the singing at Sunday Mass and on Feast days, and have an annual recital before Midnight Mass. There is a wide variety of hymns, psalms and motets, accompanied and a capella. We have a steadily increasing range of anthems and motets, from the much-loved traditional to contemporary works by John Rutter and Bob Chilcott. We are most fortunate to have secured Michael Foy as our regular organist.
The church also houses two electronic organs, both donated by Crosby Community Choir, which are integral to the music-making in this building.

Music at St Joseph's

Music Festival
Crosby community choir organise and fund an annual Music Festival. This takes place between both St Helen’s and St Joseph’s Churches starting on the last Friday in June and continuing every Wednesday and Friday evenings throughout July.
The aim is to provide a platform for local musicians to perform in our buildings and our parishioners the opportunity to access professional standard music-making at a very small cost.
