Community Christmas Dinner

We started hosting Christmas dinner on Christmas day in St Helens Church Hall in 2021. It started with a small number of like-minded parishioners from the local churches who had been volunteering throughout covid with shopping and support for those people having to isolate. They realised there was a need to do something community based within the Church. Over the following years the helpers and the guest numbers have grown, and it has become what it was intended to be: a Community Christmas Day filled with fun laughter, good food and drink and great company. It has brought hope and happiness to many people who may otherwise have had a very different Christmas Day. Everything is donated by very generous parishioner local businesses and local people who want to ensure everyone has a lovely Christmas Day.
